We’re thrilled to announce the Angostura Foundation has donated $534,000 to the Credo Foundation for Justice! This vital contribution came from their 200th-anniversary auction on September 14th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
This donation is incredibly timely for us. As Holy Faith Sister Juliet Rajah shared, “Believe it or not, when I got the call… I had just finished the monthly accounts and I was asking God, ‘How long can we continue?’ So, it was like a gift from heaven.”
Sister Rajah explained that paying staff is our biggest expense, and we face a $40,000 monthly deficit. “We are at the point where we need to start getting money, otherwise we would not be able to keep the doors open,” she stressed.
We appeal to corporate Trinidad and Tobago for assistance. Our goal is to empower children traumatized by abuse, helping them become “law-abiding citizens who are educated, who can earn their keep, and who can live life like any other person.” Our center can house 16 boys and 16 girls.
Angostura COO Ian Forbes noted this donation reflects their commitment to youth development. Dr. Sieunarine Coosal, who successfully bid on the Cusparia Rum and Kibwe Loreilhe painting at the auction, also expressed his honor in contributing to this cause.
This generous support from the Angostura Foundation is crucial for us to continue our work transforming young lives.
